JANETTE SHERIFF Westminster – Janette Louise Marsengill Sheriff, 81, wife of Hoyt “Ed” Sheriff, passed away Monday, October 26th, 2020 at her residence. Born in Seneca, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Edgar Judson and Nellie Corina Carver Marsengill. Mrs. Sheriff retired from West Point Stevens after 47 years of service as an inspector. Janette was a devoted Christian and was a member of Westminster Church of God and was an avid equestrian, enjoyed reading, watching westerns and shopping. Survivors include husband, Hoyt “Ed” Sheriff of 63 3/4 years; son, Larry Edward Sheriff of Westminster; daughter, Wanda Edwina Sheriff Lee of Westminster; sisters, Julia Lee Stewart of Westminster, Lula Elizabeth Runion of Westminster; five grandchildren, Jason Timothy Burton, Larry Edward Sheriff Jr., Justin Thomas Marcengill, Miranda Nicole Underwood, and Leon Edward Sheriff and two great grandsons. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Hoyt Franklin Sheriff. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 am, Friday, October 30th, 2020 at the Chapel of Sandifer Funeral Home with burial to follow at Oconee Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 9:30am -10:30am, Friday, October 30th, 2020 at Sandifer Funeral Home. The family is at the residence.
