Alexander Wolfe

Alexander Wolfe passed away peacefully at home in Sedona, AZ on October 23, 2020. He was 96 years old. He is survived by his only daughter, Melissa, his son-in-law Lazaro and his brother Charlie Wolfe. He will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews and friends of the family. Born in Newark, NJ, Alex grew up in Hillside, NJ and was a resident there until 2004. He moved to Sedona, AZ in 2016 with his daughter, son-in-law and two dogs – Fazio and Murray. Alex was a WW2 US Army veteran. He made the Invasion of Anzio and was captured by the German military near Monte Cassino, Italy. He remained a prisoner of war for 15.5 months. Alex was also a Purple Heart recipient. Over his life, Alex enjoyed music, friends, golfing, sports and horseracing. He also loved the ocean. He was a kind-hearted person who was loved by everyone he met. He will be deeply missed by many. Service and military honors will be held on November 14, 2020 at 10:30 am at Graceland Memorial Park in Kenilworth, NJ.
