Obituary of Alice M. Kelley         

            Alice May Kelley, the daughter of Fred E. Boman and Bessie M. (Smith) Boman, was born October 2, 1932 in Belleville, Kansas and passed away on October 26, 2020 at the Presbyterian Manor, Wichita, Kansas at the age of 88 years and 24 days.

            Alice grew up and attended the local public schools, graduating from Belleville High School.    On October 22, 1950, she was united in marriage to Clarence M. Kelley and to this union was born Deborah D. and Greg A.

             The couple made their home in Belleville, Kansas and Alice worked for 10 years as a teller at the First National Bank.     She then was the office manager and secretary for the State Farm Insurance Agency, Belleville, KS, working with her husband, Clarence M. Kelley, agent, for 35 years until her retirement.  They had recently moved to Wichita, Kansas to be near family.

            Alice was an active member of the First United Methodist Church, Belleville, KS.

            She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Bessie Boman, infant sister, Karen;  twin sister, Alta M. (Boman) Snapp and 2 brothers, Loren E. Boman and LaVon Boman.

            Alice is survived by her husband Clarence M. Kelley of Wichita, Kansas;   One son, Greg (Lori) Kelley of Independence, Kansas;   One daughter, Deborah D. (Curtis) Bowersox of Wichita, Kansas; Four grandchildren, Bret ( Sarah) Kelley of Independence, KS, Brandon (Lauren) Kelley of Sheridan, Wyoming, Jordan (LeErin) Bowersox of Derby, KS, and Megan Bowersox of Wichita, KS;   5 greatgrandchildren, Maddux and Mayes Kelley, Asher and Aemon Bowersox, and David Martin;  one brother; Gary (Sandra) Boman of Belleville, Kansas; Sister-in-laws, Helen Boman  and Delores Boman both of Hebron NE; other relatives and friends.

             Private family graveside services will be held Monday, November 2, 2020 at the Belleville Cemetery, Belleville, Kansas with Reverend Sang Hak Lee, officiating.

            Inurnment will follow the graveside services.

            Friends may call to sign the register book from 1 PM until 5 PM on Sunday, November 1, 2020 and from 9 AM until 12 Noon on Monday, Nov. 2, 2020 at the Bachelor-Surber Funeral Home, Belleville, KS.

            Memorials are suggested to the First United Methodist Church or the American Cancer Society.
