It is with great sadness that the family of Alexa Elsie Shepherd, née White, announce her passing on October 20, 2020 in the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 71 years. She was born in Calgary, Alberta on May 20, 1949. She married David Shepherd in 1973 and they lived together in the Red Deer area. Together they raised 3 children; Belinda Ternovoy, Barbara (Blair) Kostiuk and Dennis Shepherd. She will be greatly remembered by her 9 treasured grandchildren Deon, Alexa, Bryer and Connor Ternovoy, Devin and Nathan Shepherd, and Lucas, Noah and Mia Kostiuk. Alexa will be deeply missed by her brothers, Lyle (Thelma) Clifford, Doland (Babe) Clifford; her sisters, Cindy (Len) Hannas, Twyla (Tim) Clifford, Glenda (Tim) Wolter and Linda (Gordon) Dobos. As well as many nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, extended family and many cherished friends and co-workers. Alexa worked at the Michener Center until she retired in 2020 after 38+ years of service. She was passionate about helping her clients and co-workers. She had a fulfilling crochet hobby that brought joy to many that she had coached and others that have experienced her blankets, hats and scarves. Alexa was also a voracious reader and always had a book with her wherever she went. She loved doing puzzles and card games. Alexa was predeceased by her daughter, Bobbi Dawn; sister, Marlene Pinto; brother, Stacey Clifford and her parents, Elsie & John Clifford. A Celebration of Alexa’s Life will be announced and held at a later date. Cremation entrusted to Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
