Services for Reverend Dennis Granger will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday. October 30, 2020 in the G. A. Mangun Center with Reverend Anthony Mangun officiating. Burial with Military Honors will be in Bradford Cemetery, under the direction of Hixson Brothers, Alexandria. The family request visitation be held at the G. A. Mangun Center, Friday, October 30, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Reverend Granger, 70 of Chester, Maryland, was born December 27th 1949 in Lake Charles, LA and passed from this life, Friday, October 23, 2020 at University of Maryland Medical Center, Easton, MD He was a proud disabled veteran from the United States Navy having served in the Vietnam war. He was also an ordained United Pentecostal Church minister having served in pastoral ministry for over 40 years. Along with his wife Pauline, they together established churches in the cities of Baltimore, MD, Seattle, WA, and Palm Springs, CA — most recently serving as senior pastor in Chestertown, MD. While in Seattle, he served as a member of the Washington District board of the UPCI and was instrumental starting the first men’s conference for the Washington District. He had a great passion for souls and building the kingdom of God. Evangelism was his heartbeat. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristin Granger, his father Rev. James Granger and mother, Sarah; two brothers, Owen Granger and Mark Granger. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Pauline Granger, his two sons, Dennis Granger II and wife Briauna, Zachary Granger and wife Brittany; nephew Rev. David Hairford and wife Kim; grandchildren Creed and Enelia Granger, Hazael Granger; great Nieces Hailey & Hannah Hairford and one brother, Greg Granger.
