<p><strong>William &ldquo;Willie&rdquo; A. Sutton</strong></p> <p><strong>&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp; 1955 &ndash; 2020</strong></p> <p>William &ldquo;Willie&rdquo; Arthur Sutton, husband of Naomi (LaPlante) Sutton of Miramichi passed away at the Saint John Regional Hospital on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the age of 65.</p> <p>Born in Chatham, on June 25, 1955 he was the son of the late Arthur and Doreen (Doyle) Sutton.&nbsp; He worked for NB Power as a Meter Reader for many years.&nbsp; He was a member of St. Michael&rsquo;s Basilica.</p> <p>He is survived by his wife Naomi (LaPlante) Sutton; two sons: Michael Sutton (Julie Taylor) and Timmy Sutton (Aurora O&rsquo;Shea) all of Miramichi; grandchildren: Aurora, Avery and Emmett; four sisters: Peggy Moar (James), Gerry Leet, Teresa McIntyre (Marty) and Eileen Young (Richard) all of Miramichi; one brother, George Sutton (Dorothy) of Saint John; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.&nbsp; He was predeceased by his parents.</p> <p>As per William&rsquo;s &ldquo;Willie&rsquo;s&rdquo; request there was no visitation.&nbsp; Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at St. Michael&rsquo;s Basilica on Friday, October 30, 2020 at 11 am with Father John Keoughan as Celebrant.&nbsp; Music for the service was provided by Norma Sugden and Jack Richard and the hymns were &ldquo;Be Not Afraid&rdquo;, &ldquo;I, The Lord&rdquo;, &ldquo;I Am the Bread of Life&rdquo;, &ldquo;Peace I Leave with You&rdquo;, &ldquo;Song of the Angels&rdquo; and &ldquo;Go Now In Peace&rdquo;.&nbsp; Scripture readings were read by Danielle Schofield and Phyllis Young.&nbsp; The Prayers of the Faithful were proclaimed by Julie Taylor. Interment was held in St. Michael&rsquo;s Cemetery.</p> <p>As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or NB Heart &amp; Stroke Foundation would be appreciated by the family.</p> <p>Arrangements were entrusted to Adams Funeral Home Ltd., 140 King St., Miramichi, telephone 773-3492 or messages of condolence may be sent online to www.adamsfh.ca</p>

My Sincere condolences to you Naomi and family, I have a whole lot of GREAT memories of Willie from the eighties , from hockey to hunting and the odd beer !! I will Miss him.
