Scott D. MacLauchlan

Parkman – Scott “Renegade” D. MacLauchlan Sr., 62, passed away at home October 24, 2020, after a battle with MS. He was born January 8, 1958, in Dexter, the son of Donn C. and Mary Jane (Britten) MacLauchlan. Renegade started a 48 year career of driving truck at age 14 for his family business, M&M Milk Transport. Over his career he hit all 48 states, and was literally a walking road map from the east coast to the west coast. Over his career, he drove for Midwest Coast, Ted Davis, Steve Wilbur, Pottles, Roger Perkins, Donny Tompkins, Ziggy Spack, Steve Mason, Gerald Thomas, Irby Construction, Everett Brown, A.E. Robinson, E.J. Carrier, and Gordon Contracting. He earned his nickname, “Renegade” from wrestling and stealing cattle. He had a love for music, especially ‘80’s rock, and knew the lyrics and meaning to almost any song. Renegade is survived by his wife of 39 years, Judy (Austin) MacLauchlan; son, Scott D. MacLauchlan Jr. and his fiancée, Courtney Davis; grandson, Lil’ Ant; parents, Donn and Mary Jane MacLauchlan; three sisters, Donna MacLauchlan and her husband, Donzo Wierbilis, Susan MacLauchlan, and Ann Manian and her husband, Jeff; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and father-in-law, Janet and Jesse Austin. A private burial will be held for the family at the Lawn Cemetery, Guilford. A celebration of Renegade’s life will be planned at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 91891, Washington DC 20090-1891. Arrangements are in the care of the Lary Funeral Home. Messages of condolence may be expressed at www.laryfuneralhome.com.
