Diane Carol Spangler Obituary

Diane Carol Spangler, 65 a long time resident of Eagleville, Pa. passed away at her home surrounded by loved ones on October 23, 2020 after a fearless battle with lung cancer.  Diane was born on November 4, 1954 to Irvin and Dorothy King of Lock Haven, Pa.

Diane is predeceased by her parents and a brother Raymond King.

She is survived by her husband Michael Spangler Sr., children Lori Spangler, Tim Yost, Tammy (Rob) Young, Michael Spangler Jr., Misty Shade, Missy Shade, Shannon Spangler, Angie (Tracy) Green, Shawn Spangler, six siblings Rick King, Don King, Brenda King-Clark, Sandy Hurneman, Ilene Confer and Tina King.

She was twenty-two grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren, plus one due in the upcoming year.  She was able to see there newest great-grandson Everett whom she adored.

Diane loved listening to classic rock, Dr. Hook "Sylvia’s Mother" and Janis Joplin "Me and Bobby McGee" were some of her favorite artists/songs.  She knew every lyric!  Her children would sing these songs with her and a smile would flood her face and her body moved effortlessly to the rhythm.

She enjoyed reading and watching classic western movies and books.  Her and her husband Michael were avid fans of the soap opera the "Young and the Restless", never missing an episode because you never knew what Victor was up to!

Her phrases "Whoop up some macaroni salad" and "Ringy Dingy"  will never be forgotten as they always made whomever she said them too laugh or smile.

For a great number of years, she showed bravery and strength, like a soldier at war.  Her self-sacrificing traits are engrained in this world and will never be buried.  She was not afraid to die.  The thought of seeing her parents once more was something she delighted in.

You are probably elated in heaven as you never have to wear shoes again!!

We ask of you our beloved wife, mother and grandmother to keep watch over us and protect us as you did here on earth.  You are missed terribly, as you should be.  One cannot have a beautiful person in their lives for so long and then one day no longer.

We love you bunches!!!

There will be no formal services per Diane's request.
