<p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">&nbsp;</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Robert Leon Boyd, 77, of the Pansy Community, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was born February 14, 1943 to the late Everett and Dovie Boyd in Grady, Arkansas. His father Everett died when Bob was very young, his mother married Ervin Mayberry, who raised him to hunt and fish and work hard. He was preceded in death by his father, Everett, his mother Dovie, his step-dad Ervin, grandson Ryan Taylor Gonzales, and his sister Wilma Lee, who died at age 6 in 1946. Bob served in the United States Air Force at Nellis AFB in Las Vegas, Nevada and Elmendorf AFB in Alaska. He enjoyed Alaska and wanted to return someday, his daughters will take some of his ashes there. Bob also served in the Arkansas Army National Guard in Pine Bluff, Arkansas. He was a member of Bethel #2 Missionary Baptist Church. He attended there at a young age and after returning to the Pansy Community in 2011 to the land he loved, he returned to Bethel. Bob was a police officer with the Pine Bluff Police Department and then worked with the Arkansas Department of Correction until his retirement in October of 2007. He loved to hunt and fish, competing in fishing tournaments in Arkansas, Missouri, Oklahoma and Texas. He loved fishing the Arkansas River and some of his ashes will be taken there by one of his sons. Bob loved watching westerns, especially those with John Wayne and Audrie Murphy. The series &ldquo;Mountain Men&rdquo; was his favorite.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">He leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 24 years &ldquo;Boss&rdquo; Dolly Ann Boyd, five sons, Robert Lee Boyd (Rachel) of Woodlawn, AR, Christopher Boyd of White Hall, AR, Michael Westbrook (Misty) of England, AR, John David Duncan (Denise) of Hot Springs, AR, Craig Laminack (Amanda) of Grapevine, AR, three daughters, Rickae Boyd of Searcy, AR, Renae Boyd of Benton, AR, Stacy Gonzales of White Hall, AR, two brothers, Jimmie Dale Boyd (Sylvia) of Woodlawn, Thomas Lynn Mayberry (Elaine) of Austin, AR, one sister Ruth Ann Milbourn (Craig) of Hot Springs, AR, 16 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces, cousins, family, friends and fishing buddies.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">A private memorial service will be held for his family at a later date.</span></p> <p style="text-align: justify;"><span style="font-size:18px;">Arrangements by Buie Funeral Home of Rison (870) 325-6216.&nbsp;</span></p>

Robert Leon Boyd, 77, of the Pansy Community, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, October 25, 2020. He was born February 14, 1943 to the late Everett and Dovie Boyd in Grady, Arkansas. His father Everett died when Bob was very young, his mother married Ervin Mayberry, who raised him to hunt and fish and work hard. A private memorial service will be held for his family at a later date.
