For her price is far above rubies.....</span></span><span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif;"> Proverbs 30:10&nbsp;</span></span></p> <p><br /> <span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif;">Mattie Mae Thomas was born to the parentage of the late Jim and Daisy Thomas on July 28, 1925, in Washington, County. Mattie Mae was the third and only girl of four children.<br /> At an early age, she gave her life to God when she became a member of the Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church, in Washington County. Later in life, Mattie Mae moved her membership to Union Missionary Baptist Church, in Mayfield, GA.</span></span></p> <p><br /> <span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif;">Mattie Mae met and married Mr. Willie &ldquo;Boot&rdquo; Warthen. Although she was a devoted wife, she was also a great mother to their children: Grady (Sara) Warthen of Warrenton, GA, Pearline (Golden) Lott of Marietta, GA, Bernice Warthen, Geraldine (Alexander) Barnes, Mattie Pearl (Otis) Leslie, and Vasti Latimore, all of Sparta, GA, Willie (Judy) Warthen of Eatonton, GA,&nbsp;Bernistine (Charles) Hill, Thomson, GA and Tyrone (Caroline) Warthen of Appling, GA. Two children preceded her in death.</span></span></p> <p><br /> <span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif;">Mattie Mae enjoyed life. She loved to be with family and attend family gatherings. She enjoyed spending time at the Bettye Hill Senior Citizens Center until her health declined. She enjoyed playing Bingo and drinking coffee.</span></span></p> <p><br /> <span style="font-size:18px;"><span style="font-family:trebuchet ms,helvetica,sans-serif;">On October 24, 2020, Mattie Mae entered into eternal rest surrounded by her family and friends. Mattie Mae Thomas was born to the parentage of the late Jim and Daisy Thomas on July 28, 1925, in Washington, County. Mattie Mae was the third and only girl of four children.
At an early age, she gave her life to God when she became a member of the Second Mineral Springs Baptist Church, in Washington County. Later in life, Mattie Mae moved her membership to Union Missionary Baptist Church, in Mayfield, GA.


Mattie Mae met and married Mr. Willie “Boot” Warthen.
