<p><br /> Clarence J. Nutter, Jr.&nbsp;</p> <p><br /> Clarence J. Nutter (Jim) age 89 passed away Wednesday October 21, 2020, at the University of Vermont Medical Center after a short illness.&nbsp;</p> <p>He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont on December 4, 1930. Son of Clarence J. Nutter and Esther Farrington Nutter.</p> <p>He spent his childhood in Stowe, Vermont graduating in 1948. He then served 2 years with the US Army. He graduated from Burlington Business College and went on to work for the Burlington Savings Bank for 40 years retiring in 1990 as a vice president.</p> <p>He married Katherine (Connie) Danforth on September 24, 1955. Golf, family camping trips and church service were three of his many past-times. Retirement was enjoyed with years of golf, snow birding in Florida for 16 years, service to First Baptist Church, 20 years of volunteering for Meals on Wheels and enjoying time with friends and family.</p> <p>Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years Connie, his daughter Beth Nutter Gamache and his grand-dog Teddy Gamache.&nbsp;&nbsp;</p> <p>Donations for those who wish in Jim&rsquo;s memory may be made to First Baptist Church, 81 St. Paul St., Burlington, Vermont 05401 or Humane Society of Chittenden County, 142 Kindness Court, South Burlington, Vermont 05403.</p>

Clarence J. Nutter (Jim) age 89 passed away Wednesday October 21, 2020, at the University of Vermont Medical Center after a short illness. 

He was born in St. Johnsbury, Vermont on December 4, 1930. Son of Clarence J. Nutter and Esther Farrington Nutter.

He spent his childhood in Stowe, Vermont graduating in 1948. He then served 2 years with the US Army. He graduated from Burlington Business College and went on to work for the Burlington Savings Bank for 40 years retiring in 1990 as a vice president.

He married Katherine (Connie) Danforth on September 24, 1955. Golf, family camping trips and church service were three of his many past-times. Retirement was enjoyed with years of golf, snow birding in Florida for 16 years, service to First Baptist Church, 20 years of volunteering for Meals on Wheels and enjoying time with friends and family.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 65 years Connie, his daughter Beth Nutter Gamache and his grand-dog Teddy Gamache.
