Lois Nancy Morton

Lois Nancy Morton, a longtime resident of the Grosse Pointes, passed away on October 22, 2020 at the age of 87. She was born in Grosse Pointe, MI and raised in Detroit, MI to her parents George Nedock and Verona Klockow on November 28, 1932. While she worked as a secretary for some time, Lois's full-time job was being a wonderful wife to the late Dean and mother to her two daughters, Ruth and Mary. Lois also was an avid volunteer for many organizations. She was a lifelong member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She volunteered at the church's food bank, the Poblo Thrift Store, and Project Compassion. Lois also was an avid pianist and showcased her skill at church. Beloved wife of the late Dean. Loving mother of Ruth (Tom) Rooney and Mary (Timothy) Dunn. Cherished grandmother of Abigail and Katelyn Dunn. Sister-in-law to Jeannine Courtright and Robert (Barbara) Morton. Aunt to nieces and nephews. Godmother to many. A funeral service for Lois will be held privately at A. H. Peters Funeral Home, 20705 Mack Ave., Grosse Pointe Woods, 48236. Lois will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Detroit.
