<p>We are sad to announce the passing of Anthony Lee Smihula.</p> <p>Anthony passed away at his home on October 17, 2020, at the age of 79. He went to be with his Lord Jesus Christ.</p> <p>He is survived by his loving wife Maria Belem Smihula, and brother Fosten and Cathy Wilson. Lovingly remembered by his children, Maria, Doug, Cil, Ron, and Katie. Grandchildren Teena, Hugo, Katie, Juan, Sergio, Sierra, Evan, Chris, Jerry, Randi, Morgan, John, Joe, Jessica, Kimberly, Steven, and Christian. Great Grandchildren Miley, Adrien, Isaac, Liam, Luca, and Erick. Nephew Steven, niece Neva, and great niece Hailey. Cousins Pam, David and Michael. </p> <p>He was preceded in death by his sons, Sergio and Anthony, his daughter Kimmy, and his grandchildren Amy, Isaiah, and Lily.</p> <p>He was born in Beverly Hills, California in 1941. In his early years he served in the military as a Navy Seal, and served in the Vietnam War. </p> <p>On May 19, 1978 he married the love of his life, Maria. Together they started a trucking business, and later also owned 3 restaurants in Amargosa Valley, Beatty, and Death Valley Junction. He later moved his family to Pahrump, Nevada where he spent his remaining years.</p> <p>Anthony was a devoted and loving husband to his wife and a loving and nurturing father to his family. Those who knew him loved the joy that he brought into their lives. With his wisdom and witty personality, you could always count on a great interesting conversation with him. He was spiritually involved in his church. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. </p> <p>There will be a celebration of life at their home at 9560 Squaw Valley Road, Pahrump, Nevada, 89061 on Sunday, October 25, 2020 at 2:30 p.m.</p>Obituary
