Charles "Chuck" Harrison Obituary

Conewango Valley - Charles J. “Chuck” Harrison, 68, of Seager Hill Road, Conewango Valley, passed away Friday (October 23, 2020) at home after an extended illness, with his family by his side. He was born June 4, 1952 in Buffalo, the son of the late Charles P. and Marjorie Winifred (White) Harrison. Chuck was a 1970 graduate of Kenmore East High School in Tonawanda, N.Y., where he excelled at cross country and track. Chuck retired from the Erie County Medical Center in Buffalo after 30 years of service, where he worked his first 15 years as a Nurse’s Aide and the latter, in the maintenance department. He was a member of the Conewango Baptist Church, where he was an usher and participated in bible study. His interests Included camping, bird watching, landscaping and woodworking. Chuck is survived by his wife, Rosemary L. (Perry) Harrison, a son, Brett Charles Harrison, three daughters, Ruth Luzak of Tonawanda, Nicole Elizabeth (Mark) Sutton of Buffalo and Sarah Luzak of Conewango Valley. He is additionally survived by a sister, Gail Naab of Kenmore and five grandchildren, Stephanie Sutton, Ava Meadows, Jaydan Sutton, Aluna Dixon and Jessica James. He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Marjorie, a son, John Paul Luzak on April 9, 2002 and a sister, Charlene Meinke. The family will receive relatives and friends from 6-8 PM Friday (November 6, 2020) from the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church Street, Randolph, NY.
