Dorotha Dean (Byrd) Boyce, 88 of Comanche, TX passed away on October 20, 2020 in Comanche.

Visitation is scheduled from 9:00am to 10:00 with service beginning at 10:00am on Monday, October 26, 2020 at Faith Community Baptist Church with Pastor Wayne Shelton officiating.  Burial will immediately follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Dorotha was born to Lillian Alice (Bohannan) Byrd and Delbert Ernest Byrd on May 12, 1932 in Martinez, CA.  She was an only child and was educated in the Martinez School District.

On July 30, 1951 Dorotha married Fred H. Boyce in Martinez.  Dorotha was a very devoted wife and caring mother.  She was a lifetime faithful follower of Jesus Christ and most her interests evolved around her church and members.  She was an accomplished seamstress and loved to read, loved flowers and gardening.

Dorotha is preceded in death by her husband Fred H. Boyce, mother, father and infant daughter, Deborah Anne.

Dorotha leaves behind her children Cheryl Lynn Schulte & husband Donnie of Antioch, CA, Brenda Dean Spinks, Leslie Spinks of Odessa, TX, Fred H. Boyce and late wife Loisle Ann of Dublin, TX, Lanida S. (Nina) Ochs and husband Robert G. Ochs of Hoisington, KS.  Dorotha loved her grandchildren Shane Modlering, Kevin Modlering and Danielle Rolla all in California, Jonah Phillips and Nathan Spinks of Odessa, Alan Bennett, Timothy Lynn Bennett, Kathy Ann Bennett all of Comanche, TX, Cody Ochs and Zane Ochs of Wichita, KS and many great grandchildren.

Pall bears will be Jonah Spinks, Nathan Spinks, Tim Bennett, Rodney Craddock, Karter Bennett, and Earl Daly.

Memorials may be given to St. Jude’s or Faith Community Baptist Church.

The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Dr. Davis, Western Hills Nursing Facility and The Comanche Hospice.
