Cory James Christensen Obituary

Cory James Christensen, 49, died on Thursday, October 8, 2020 in a hiking accident while hiking in the Willow Gulch area at Lake Powell, Utah. Cory was born on April 24, 1971 at Wiesbaden Air Force Base hospital in Germany to Dennis and Marilyn (Johnson) Christensen.

Cory attended Wasatch High School, in Heber City, Utah, and then served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in the California San Diego Mission (Laotian speaking). Cory then attended BYU-Hawaii, where he graduated and received a Bachelor degree in Business. It is there where he developed his entrepreneurial spirit and passion. Cory spent most of his time and efforts working on and developing online business opportunities and ventures. In years past, he loved spending time at the beach and exercising with his beloved Dalmatian dog, Seaba. In more recent years, he enjoyed spending time with his Mom, making artistic rock creations, and exploring the outdoors.

Cory is survived by his three children, Neo, Zen, and Roxy; mother, Marilyn; sisters, Summer Sherri and Valerie; and brothers Todd and Mark. Cory is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Christensen.
