MARY LOU HARPER, 83, of Spencer, West Virginia, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Roane General Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility in Spencer. She was born April 17, 1937 in Roane County, a daughter of the late Roy Elmer and Jessie Spencer Meadows. She was retired from Kellwood with over 40 years of service and was a member of the Rush Creek Baptist Church where she served as secretary. She is survived by a sister, Nancy Browning of Carmi, Illinois and several brother and sisters-in-law. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Harper and a sister, Dorothy Harper. A graveside service will be held at 11:00am Monday, October 26, 2020 at the Swank Cemetery on Speed Road with Pastor Danny Whited officiating. There will be no visitation. Taylor-Vandale Funeral Home in Spencer is in charge of the arrangements.
