Ronald Elliott Cook, known affectionately as Archie, was born on January 6, 1949 in Jacksonville, Florida on the Eastside, to his parents Russell and Frances Cook. He was a proud graduate of Matthew W. Gilbert High School, Class of 1966. Archie was greeted by his savior on Thursday, October 22, 2020 and was reunited in new life with his father, Russell Cook, Jr. and the remaining cloud of witnesses who cheered him home (Hebrews 12: 1-2). Archie leaves cherished memories with his lovingly devoted mother, Frances Cook; beloved daughter, Shana Cook Harris; his joy, his grandchildren, Aubry Quaintance and I. Joseph Harris; beautifully spirited sister, Fae Gale (Kenneth); nephews, royal kings in their own right, Tracy Gale, Tre’von Gale, John Eric Cook, and Rod Stewart; dear aunts, Deloris Ashley, Wilhelmina Fisher, and Ethel Jean Kendrick; a wonderous amount of fun-loving cousins, cherished friends, and family. The funeral service for Ronald Elliott Cook will be held at 11:00 am Thursday, October 29th, 2020 at the Samuel C. Rogers Jr. Memorial Chapel 4315 N. Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. The visitation will be 10:00 - 11:00 am, Thursday, October 29th, 2020 at the Funerals by T.S. Warden 4315 North Main Street Jacksonville, FL 32206. Interment in Restlawn Cemeteries.
