Peggy Witte

“Ray of Sunshine” Peggy Rae Witte, age 82, of Conrad, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at Southridge Specialty Care in Marshalltown. Funeral Services for Peggy will be held on Tuesday, October 27, 2020 at Mitchell Family Funeral Home in Marshalltown at 12:00 PM, with a visitation taking place two hours prior, beginning at 10:00 A.M. Burial will take place at Rose Hill Cemetery, north of Toledo following the service. Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation. Peggy Rae Witte was born on October 17, 1938 in Toledo to parents Raymond and Beulah (Levis) Mohler. She attended school in Tama-Toledo and graduated in 1956. After high school, Peggy continued her education in Lincoln, NE.  Peggy was a member of Fairview Country Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano by ear and playing the accordion. She was an incredibly gifted musician, despite her inability to read sheet music.  Peggy loved to read the bible and enjoyed memorizing and sharing scripture with others. She was an excellent homemaker and loved her family very much. Left to cherish her memory is her children: Bonnie (Dean) Walker, Jason (Helen) Witte and Justin (Dee) Witte; grandchildren: Anna Walker, Emily Walker, Clara Witte, Corbin Witte, Calem Witte, Shuree Witte, Sierra Witte, Sage Witte, Kylie Eilander, Emily Witte, Savannah Witte, Slate Witte, Shae Witte, Skye Witte, Summer Witte, Logan Witte, Sean Witte, Seanna Witte, Shilo Witte, Sam Witte, Mathew Witte, Seth Witte, Serenity Witte and Trenton Eilander; and her sister, Sharyn (Terry) Chandlee. Peggy is preceded in death by her parents Raymond and Beulah, her sister Cheryl Woodworth, her brother Perry Mohler and Khris.
