Shelley Ann Smith Obituary

Salina, Utah - Our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend Shelley Ann Roberts Smith passed away far too soon at the age of 51, on May 23, 2017 in Richfield, Utah. She was born the Fourth of July in 1965 in Salt Lake City, Utah. A daughter of Connie McCoy and Judy Kathleen Anderson Roberts (both deceased). She grew up in Salina, Utah where she attended North Sevier High School and graduated with the class of 1983. She Married Richard O'Neil on August 11, 1990 in Salina. They later divorced on September 26, 1993. She then married Russell Smith on August 5, 1994 in Salina. They later divorced. Shelley was a social butterfly. She greeted everyone with the kind of smile that makes everything feel better. Her greatest passion was her family. She loved spending time with them, especially during the holidays! She loved her grandkids incredibly, and her dog Luna, or Baby as she was often called. Shelley liked playing cards with the family. She was a voracious reader. She loved spending time in the mountains. She liked to shoot. She enjoyed fishing as long as someone else baited her hook, cast her line, and unhooked her fish, so in other words she loved reeling in fish! She is survived by her daughters: Celise Ballow of Salina; Kaley O'Neil of Port Angeles, Washington; her grandsons Derek Ballow, and Tristan Ballow both of Salina; her beloved friend Bruce Smith of Salina; her brother Kevin and Michelle Roberts of Frankfort, Kansas; her niece Tia Schofield of Frankfort, Kansas; her Nephews: Terron Roberts, Brody Roberts, and Ethan Roberts all of Frankfort, Kansas. A private family gathering, and celebration of her life will be held on July 4, 2017.
