Jeanene Detton

Jeanene Detton, an Angel on earth returned home to our Heavenly Father on October 22, 2020.

Jeanene will be available for viewing from 9-8:00 p.m., Sunday, October 25, 2020 at Schooler Funeral Home. Visitation will be at 9:00 a.m., Monday, October 26, 2020 at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 5401 Bell St. Funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Schooler Funeral Home.

She was born October 26, 1930 at 2.5 lbs, wrapped in fur lining and survived to do much good in this world. Jeanene loved everyone and taught her children the Gospel of Jesus Christ. She had many callings in the church but loved being the primary president the most. Anyone who knew her was blessed.

Jeanene worked as a receptionist and accountant. Later as a sales associate at Klines Clothing Store for over 26 years and loved it. She married Gene Detton 6 weeks after she met him at a wrestling match. They were together 56 years and together, had 7 children.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Gene; son, Lary; and 3 daughters, Gloria, Terri and Joni.

Jeanene is survived by Sandy and Denis Hannon, Penny Lane, and Jody Detton; Sandi Johnson, Denisa and Russ Lusso, Derek and Kathy Johnson; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She loved and adored all of the kiddos. Jeanene was a special grandmother.

She was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Her faith sustained her through many trials but she endured to the end and will be in celestial glory.
