Louis John Burdulis Sr. Obituary

Louis John Burdulis, Sr., Born Jan 7, 1943, went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2020 in Montgomery Texas. Louis spent most of his life in industrial property management for power houses including Rockefeller, Niarchos, Hines, Prudential – Premisys, Trammel, Crow, Carter, BMC and Sparrows. Wherever he went, he quickly separated himself from the pack with the intensity and ingenuity he brought to his career. As he interacted with others, he brought humor and creative solutions to problems that others could not see. He was never absent from the role of mentor - to those who wanted to learn; friend - for those who would accept him as he was; and family member - as father, brother, and son. He always had a story that would make you laugh or question whether it was real or even possible; and if you actually asked, he could produce the proof. He lived many places in his life, but Houston Texas was home for the last 30 plus years. He served with honor in the US Navy. He was preceded by his loving mother E. Pat and his father John. He leaves behind his son, Louis and his wife Meredith; and his daughter, Marsha and her husband Matt and her children. Louis lived his life on his own terms, out loud, and with a desire to do everything to the maximum possible positive outcome. He was an avid motorcyclist, fisherman, boater and the consummate gentleman. He had a superior degree of ethics and morals; he had patience, kindness, gentleness, chivalry and an unending amount of love for those who were in his circle. He required from all those around him the same superior sense of service and “doing the right thing” that he provided to everyone he encountered. He loved to have fun and would engage absolutely anyone around him to join in- whether it be friends, family, or service providers, it didn’t matter as long as you wanted to have a good time and live life to the fullest. His home going was not what we had planned, but it is what he and God had planned; so that is what was done. He will be missed and we will grieve our loss; it will become part of who we are, and with time we will only remember all of the fun and love that was shared. Grief is not weakness; it is the price of love. Louis loved more deeply than most can even fathom. Louis was and IS loved. He was a longtime supporter of St. Jude and their mission so in lieu of flowers we ask for Tribute donations in his name at StJude.org - click donate once (or monthly if you are so moved) and on the next screen click Dedicate my Donation for Louis Burdulis Sr. If you’d prefer, you can send email notification of the gift to louisburdulisjr@gmail.com. We would like to thank Methodist Hospital of The Woodlands for the excellent care and respect they showed to Louis in his final hours.
