Robert "Bob"  J. Walter, age 63, of Battle Creek, passed away unexpectantly on October 23, 2020 at his residence.  He was born on July 2, 1957 in Battle Creek, the son of Robert and Cecilia (Kirkish) Walter.  Robert was a lifelong area resident and graduated from Harper Creek High School in 1975.  He worked as an electrician for his family’s business, Walter Electric and later Denso Manufacturing where he worked for over thirty years.  Robert loved social media, trips to Las Vegas, shopping, traveling, and especially spending time with friends and family.  He was preceded in death by his parents.  Robert was united in marriage on October 16, 1993 in Las Vegas to Sarah Gurney, she survives.  Also surviving are sons; Ben (Ruben) Walter of Chicago, IL., Adam Walter of Battle Creek, sisters; Christine Walter of Phoenix, AZ., Cecilia “Tina” Battenfield of Phoenix, AZ., Brenda (John) Aitken or Morgan Hills, CA., Rose (Alex) Heirman of Prescott, AZ., Mary (Rick) Russell of Marshall, MI., one grandson and a special great nephew Ashton Flanagan of Phoenix, AZ.  Visitation will take place from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at the Richard A. Henry Funeral Home & Cremation Services.  Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 p.m., Friday October 30, 2020 at the funeral home, Pastor Tom Ball officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of one’s choice.  Memories and condolences may be shared with the family at www.henryfuneralhome.org
