Sue Ann Money

Obituary for Sue Ann Money 09-04-1931 to 10-23-2020 Sue Ann (Baker) Money was born on September 4, 1931, in Childress Texas to Otis M Baker and Willie Mae (Morrison) Baker. She passed from this life on October 23, 2020. When she was a small child her family moved to the Tulsa area for work. She graduated from Daniel Webster High School in 1950. She married her high school sweetheart, Thomas Money, and they made their home in Tulsa where they raised their two children and worked together in their family owned insurance agency. During their marriage they enjoyed spending time with the family, fishing and boating, enjoying sports car club activities. After Tom passed in 2001 Sue became very active in her church. She began quilting, working in the Winnetka Heights Baptist Church Clothes Closet & enjoying weekly luncheons with the Sunday School ladies. She loved being outside and nothing made her happier than caring for her plants, trees, flowers and raking the leaves. Sue was famous for her magical green thumb. She loved feeding the birds and watching her hummingbirds. She had an admitted weakness for chocolate and ice cream. You would never find her without a stash of Hershey bars. She was always up for a game of Chinese Checkers or cards with her grandchildren. They knew that she would show no mercy and they loved it. Some of the best family memories were over a board game or a deck of cards. In 2019 Sue became a resident of Saint Simeon’s Assisted Living center. Immediately she began a carefree life of new friends & new hobbies. She was fascinated with the peacocks roaming the grounds and she loved the ice cream parlor. The family is most appreciative of Saint Simeon’s and their wonderful caring staff. The family would also like to warmly thank Rebecca Brady for the many hours that she spent with Sue during her last years at home. Survivors include her daughter, Karen Money Bull & husband Paul of Tulsa; son Michael Money & wife Charlotte of Glenpool. She had five grandchildren, Angela Solano (Michael), Connor Bull (Jackie), Kalissa Stimson (Stephen), Jennifer Money-Maez (Luis) and Dr. Michael Money (Taylor). Sue had ten great grandchildren, Rowan Zella Bull; Kynder, Gentry and Aspyn Stimson; Emmalie, Ava, Elly and Addi Maez; Bronx and Brixton Money. In addition to her husband, Thomas M Money Jr., Sue was preceded in death by her parents, and her two brothers, Bob Baker and Otis Baker. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, October 30, 2020 at Legacy Chapel Dillon Funeral Service. Services are under the direction of Dillon Funeral Service and condolences may be shared at www.dilloncares.com.
