Matthew C. Kurdes, 86 of Edison passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2020. Born in Newark, he has resided in Edison for many years. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War. Matthew was employed by National Can in Edison, prior to his retirement. He was predeceased by his wife Irene in 1999. Surviving are his daughter Cindy Preston, sons Kevin and Christopher; 8 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. Visitation is Sunday, October 25, 2020, from 2-4 PM at the Costello-Runyon Funeral Home 568 Middlesex Ave. (RT 27) Metuchen.
