Walter Gerhard Bradley

Walter Gerhard Bradley, father, grandfather, passed away on Wednesday, October 13, 2020, at the age of 72 in Conroe, TX. Walter was known as “Wally” to his parents and “Walt” to his friends. He was born February 21, 1947 in Bremerhaven, Germany and was the only child of Edith Johanne Bradley (Garrelts) and Leon Paul Bradley. (ret U.S Navy). Walter was preceded in death by his mother and is survived by his dad: Leon Paul Bradley of Kingwood Tx; daughters: Judy Bradley-Grady (Terry) of Conroe Tx, Samantha Craig of The Woodlands Tx, and Erica Bradley-Rice (Robert) of Conroe Tx; son: Carl Allen Bradley of Florida; 7 grandsons: Christopher Paul Bradley, Michael W. Miller, Joshua C Bradley-Pierce, Tyler J Miller, Caleb A Bradley-Pierce, Conner A Craig and Bradley Grady; and 1 great grandchild: Charlie Bradley . Walter went to the U.S Naval Academy in Great Lakes, Ill and was a part of Company 533, from 1968- 1972, where he served on the USS BULLOCK COUNTY (LST-509 ). After his time in the Navy, he relocated to Houston ,Tx where he worked for Mustang/ Caterpillar in diesel mechanics for many years, Walter always enjoyed fishing and would always encourage his friends and neighbors to pull up a chair for some lengthy conversations. At Dad's request, his body will be laid to rest at the National Cemetery in Houston, Tx. Please Join Us For: Graveside service will be held at the Houston National Cemetery located at 10410 Veterans Memorial Dr. Houston Tx 77038 on Friday Oct 30th with a strict 1:45 pm gate time.
