Todd A. Halverson

Todd A. Halverson, age 52, of Tomahawk, WI, lost his month-long battle with COVID-19 on Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Ascension St. Elizabeth Hospital in Appleton, WI. Todd was born in Tomahawk, WI, the middle child of three sons to Walt and Carol (Krueger) Halverson on March 11, 1968. From the time he was born, Todd had a huge smile that lit up the room. He graduated from Tomahawk High School in 1986.He spent many years serving others as a firefighter and Rescue Diver with the Tomahawk Fire Department. He retired from the fire department as a Lieutenant. Todd also worked as an EMT with Lincoln County Ambulance Service. He was proud to have been the first acolyte at Grace Lutheran Church. Todd was employed at the Packaging Corporation of America Tomahawk Mill for many years. Todd married the love of his life, Tracy Rossiter, on September 27, 2003; she survives. Their favorite place to be was boating on Lake Superior on their “yacht” fishing and taking in the sunsets. Todd was the life of the party with his humor and generosity. He was an excellent cook and great at karaoke. He was an all-around handyman who was always willing to lend a helping hand. Todd loved his family and extended family, and they loved him back. He was a kind, gentle, loving man who left an enormous imprint on all those he crossed paths with. Survivors include his parents, Walt and Carol Halverson; his wife, Tracy Halverson; 2 sons, Casey (Katie) Rossiter, and Eric (Ashley) Ravelo; 2 daughters, Amanda Halverson, and Amber Ames; and 2 brothers, Shawn (Shirley) Halverson, and Jason (Shannon) Halverson; his grandchildren, Lydia Ravelo, Corbin Cannon, Charlotte Rossiter, and Emmitt Ravelo; his nephews, Shane Halverson, Tucker VanRyen, and Hunter VanRyen; his niece, Riss (Eric) Handrick; and his great-niece, Leah Handrick. Todd is further survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Irma Halverson, Clarence Krueger, and Florence Wirszbinski; and his mother-in-law, Jenene Ramagnano. In accordance with COVID social distancing guidelines, a private family visitation and funeral service will be held.  Everyone is encouraged to view the livestreamed service on Thursday, October 29, 2020, beginning at 10:50 AM.  A link will be provided on Todd’s obituary page at <a href="http://www.generationsfuneral.com">www.generationsfuneral.com</a> just prior to the start of the service.  Burial will take place at Greenwood Cemetery. A public celebration of life for Todd will be held at a later date.
