William E. "Bill" Brush

<p>Bootjack: William E. &ldquo;Bill&rdquo; Brush, 71, of the Bootjack Road, passed away at his home on Monday, October 19, 2020 after a lingering illness.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He was born on September 1, 1949 in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania to the late Charles and Mary (Kimball) Brush. Bill graduated from High School in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1967. He then attended the University of Cincinnati for two years, later graduating from Michigan Tech in 1981. He worked for much of his career at D&amp;N Bank, Northern Hardwoods, and then at Vocational Strategies Incorporated (VSI) as an accountant until his retirement.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Bill married Lois Siler of Hancock on September 14, 1974 at the former St. Joseph-St. Patrick Catholic Church in Hancock.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church of Houghton, the Lake Linden Lions Club, and was associated with Boy Scout Troop 202 of Lake Linden. He loved baseball, skiing, and other outdoor activities.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;He is survived by his wife, Lois Siler of Bootjack; a son, Michael Brush of Ridgecrest, CA; a daughter, Suzanne Brush of Lake Linden; 2 brothers: Charles (Jeanne) Brush of Phoenix, AZ and David (Gail) Brush of Shelby Township, MI; and by 4 nieces.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;Friends may visit at the family home at 51589 Bootjack Road, Lake Linden on Saturday, October 24, 2020&nbsp; from 2 until 6 P.M. Interment will take place at Lakeside Cemetery in Hancock.<br /> &nbsp; &nbsp; &nbsp;The O&#39;Neill-Dennis Funeral Home of Hancock is assisting with the arrangements. Bootjack: William E. “Bill” Brush, 71, of the Bootjack Road, passed away at his home on Monday, October 19, 2020 after a lingering illness.
