Scarlette Harper Obituary

Scarlette Harper, known as Gammy or Mom to most, was born June 20, 1963 in Nacogdoches county and passed October 18, 2020 in Weatherford, Texas. There is so much to be said about Gammy but losing her has left us nearly speechless. She had a knack for making lifelong friends wherever she went. She was on a first name basis with everyone from the customers at JJ’s where she worked for many years to the clerk at Belk’s department store. She gave birth to four boys, but she was a mother to everyone. If anyone ever needed anything she was there to help, no questions asked. She loved without judgement or conditions. Whether you were at your lowest, your highest, or somewhere in between her love was unwavering. She was kind, loving, generous, and sweet but Lord help you if she released The Dragon. Gammy was 5’6 but she had an Amazonian strength that made her seem larger than life. She seemed invincible and the world does not make sense without her. Gammy was preceded in death by her son John “Paddy Cake” Baker and there’s peace knowing they have been reunited. She is survived by her husband Jim Harper, sons Danny Baker and wife Heather Baker, Randy Baker and wife Jessica Baker, Jack Baker and wife Haley King, daughters in law Beth Baker and Kasie Riddle, step-daughter Ashley Sims, step-son Eric Harper and over 20 grandchildren. There will be a Memorial Service held at Life Church in Nacogdoches Saturday, October 24th @ 3 pm & Fellowship of Weatherford Church in Weatherford Saturday, October 31st @ 11 am We love you Gammy and your hair looks nice.
