Russell Gravely Hardy, Jr.

Russell Gravely Hardy, Jr. of Danville, Virginia, went to his heavenly home on October 21, 2020, at the age of 61. He was born on March 2, 1959, to the late Mary Catherine Warren Hardy and the late Russell Gravely Hardy, Sr. in Danville, Virginia. He is survived by his wife Gloria Moore Hardy. Russell was a member of White Oak Church and worked as a supervisor at Owens Brockway Glass. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his son Russell Gravely Hardy, III (Chantal) of Ringgold, Virginia; his sister Cathy Pruitt (Danny) of Pelham, North Carolina; his sister-in-law Tammie Porterfield (David); his niece Jessica Pruitt; and his grandchildren Lily Hardy, Lana Hardy, and Layla Hardy. A memorial service will be held at 4:00PM on Sunday, October 25, 2020, at White Oak Worship Center with Pastor Roger Ewing and Pastor John Meadows officiating. A visitation will be held one-hour prior at the same location. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial donations be made to White Oak Worship Center. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Tpke., Danville, Va. is respectfully serving the Hardy family. Online condolences may be made at www.norrisfuneral.com.
