DOROTHY MARIE WALL
November 24, 1932 - October 19, 2020
Dorothy passed away Monday, October 19th at Littleton Adventist Hospital.
Dorothy (Krueger) Wall was born November 24, 1932 in Laramie, Wyoming. She was the only child of Harold Krueger and Pauline (Kaisler) Krueger.
Dorothy married Ralph L. Wall June 17, 1951 and together they lovingly parented five children. Suzzanne (Bill) Davie, Idaho Falls, ID, Dan (Carma) Wall, McPherson, KS, Bobbie Cook, Aurora, CO, Colleen Storm, Englewood, CO, Terri Smith, Aurora, CO.
Dorothy and Ralph were also called “mom and dad” by dozens of additional children, including a special “daughter” Karla Peyton of Santa Rosa, CA. Throughout her life, Dorothy was known for being unable to say “no” to any family in need of childcare. As a result, she cared for dozens of children at any given time and became life-long “mom” to many. She was greatly appreciated for her ability to balance discipline and love.
In 1983 Dorothy opened her own business, Mrs. Sugar Plums Bakery and Sandwich Shop, in Denver. She passionately served countless customers until retiring in 1990.
During their life together, Dorothy and Ralph enjoyed traveling extensively both internationally and throughout the United States in their motorhome.
Dorothy is survived by four of her children, 9 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren and two half- sisters.
Dorothy was preceded in death by husband, Ralph, daughter Colleen and numerous brothers’ and
sisters’ in-law.
A graveside service will be held Friday, October 23rd at 2:00 PM at Fairmount Cemetery, 430 South Quebec Street, Denver, CO. While all family and friends are welcome, due to COVID restrictions, attendance will be limited to 50 people. Those desiring to attend will need to assemble by 1:45 PM at Staging Area A (accessible by the Alameda Ave entrance).
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers you share a memory below or mail condolences to 13661 E Marina Dr. #112, Aurora, CO 80013.
Dorothy’s final resting place will be next to her husband and daughter in the Fairmount Cemetery.
Dorothy is loved and will be sadly missed by her family and many friends.
