Lilly Louise Ferguson Beverly

Lilly Louise Beverly was born on February 23, 1936 to the late Ruben and Maggie Ferguson in Moncks Corner, South Carolina. Lilly left South Carolina at an early age and moved to New York City, Where she worked as a Home Attendant and aided in the lives of many. While working in New York, she met the love of her life, Calvin Beverly. They married on April 21, 1956. Lilly was a devoted and loving wife, and through their union, they had four lovely children. They both each had one child prior to their union that they continued to love dearly. During her early years in New York, Lilly discovered and joined the Miracle Pentecostal Church of The Lord Jesus. She was an active member for many years. She was a proud child of God, and would always put Him first through the good and the bad. Lilly was a gifted and creative woman. She spent a lot of her free time sewing beautiful, handmade quilts and crocheted blankets for family members, neighbors, friends and more. Lilly had a light about her that could never be dimmed. She was known for her bold and bright personality that always came with a side of love. As a women with so much love to give, she was a guardian to many children. She baby-sat and watched over several children in the neighborhood and was known to a lot of people as Mema. On the morning of October 21, 2020, the Lord called Lilly home peacefully in her sleep. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Geraldine Holley and son, Joseph Ferguson. She is survived by: her children, Calvin Beverly Jr. and his long-term companion, Laverne Cummings and their children; Ernestine Beverly-Bell; Elaine Beverly and Kenneth Beverly and wife Chariece Burns-Beverly; grandchildren, Reginald Beverly, Teresa Beverly, Janell Dimbo and Javon Beverly; great grandchildren, Lacey Beverly, Zahniya Thousand and Charlize Johnson; sisters, Rhoda Cade and Mararite Ferguson; son-in-law, Joseph Holley; sisters-in-law, Katie Green and Mary Ferguson; a host of nieces and nephews; as well as the members of the Miracle Pentecostal Church of The Lord Jesus.
