Janice H. Vandervest died Tuesday, October 20, 2020 at the age of 82. She was born February 7, 1938 in Marshall, MI the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Bergstresser) Pardoe. Janice was primarily a homemaker but she worked for several years for the St. Johns Public Schools in the cafeteria at the former East Essex Elementary School. On September 1, 1961 she married Elmer Vandervest and he preceded her in death in 1994.She was also predeceased by a granddaughter, Tatum Wallace and two brothers, Lloyd and Jude Pardoe. She is survived by her children, Tod Vandervest, Steven (Darlene) Vandervest, Dawn Wallace, Lori Burns and Andrew Vandervest; six grandchildren and her twin sister, Janet (Orville) Mund. Funeral services for Janice will be held 12:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2020 at Keck-Coleman Funeral Home, St. Johns with Pastor John Mattern officiating. Interment will follow at Union Home Cemetery. The family will receive relatives and friends 6-8 PM Thursday, October 22 and for one hour prior the funeral at the funeral home.
