Jacqueline Beverly-Perret Obituary

Jacqueline Vera Joyce Davis Beverly-Perret was called home to Heaven October 16, 2020. Our Mom was born July 23, 1932 in Webb Saskatchewan. She married Korty Eugene Beverly from Hazlet Saskatchewan June 20, 1951. They started a life together in Hazlet where Dad farmed then later ran Beverly's Garage and Mom did the bookkeeping. They had four children: Terry, Wendy, Maggie, and Laurie-Anne. In 1968, they moved to Swift Current and, by 1973, Mom leased the Dixie Lunch restaurant in The Imperial Hotel. However, tragedy struck in 1977 when Dad suddenly passed from a heart attack at the age of 50. Mom, being only 44, sold the restaurant just a year later. In 1983, she remarried Bob Perret. Mom was never out of work. For many years, she managed restaurants in hotels and golf clubs in places such as Lashburn, Maidstone, and Brooks, Alberta. In 2004, she settled back in Swift Current and began working at Walmart, where she stayed until she retired. Mom loved doing crafts and keeping her little house in Waldeck freshly painted and looking beautiful. She sang and played the guitar with same beauty. She wrote songs, poems, and stories like a seasoned writer. She cooked all the way up until she was 86 and you could be assured a four course meal when you came for supper. Very few people are great cooks and great bakers, but our Mom sure was one of them. She always looked beautiful and well-kept no matter what. Her hair was incredibly thick and gorgeous right up until her passing. Our Mama Bear was high-spirited, stubborn, generous, forgiving, and bore a sense of humour as crazy as no other. She will be missed so very much by all who loved her. "On the wings of a Snow White Dove, God sends his pure sweet love. A sign from above on the Wings of a Dove."-A Gospel Song favorite of Mom's by Ferlin Husky. Up, up, and away, Mama Bear. Your everlasting spirit will be in all your children and each of their family's hearts. Jacqueline is survived by her children and grandchildren; Terry (Sue): Tara Dawn (Tim), Taylor (Stephanie), Tessa; Wendy (David): Trevor (Miriam), Trevenna, Nicole; Maggie (Fern): Michael (Terrie), Terry (Elena); Laurie-Anne (Jeff): Scott (Tara) Crystal (Jason), Nicole (David), Clint (Brieanne), Natalie-Ann (Kyle), Cortez (Meagan), along with 22 Great Grandkids.
