Emmarene Griffin was born in Fairfield, Texas to the union of Smith and Everleaner Ransom on March 2, 1936. She met and married Walter Lee Kirven and to this union five children were born and one additional child was added to this union. She later met and married John P. Griffin with no children born to this union.

She received Christ at an early age, under the Pastorage of Alice Reed at Faith Tabernacle Church in Italy, Texas. Emmarene was an excellent homemaker who loved taking care of her home and cooking for her family especially the holidays. She invited many into her home. She was a Private Duty Nurse and loved her job until she retired due to health reasons.

She is preceded in death by her Mother & Father, both husbands, Walter Lee Kirven and John P. Griffin, 7 siblings and 2 daughters, William Ransom Sr., Eva Mae Ransom, HB Ransom, Smith Veron Ransom Sr., Mariah Chappell, Bobby Ramson and Maggie Wallce.

Those left to cherish her precious memories are her loving children Billy Kirven Sr., James Kirven, Emma Joyce Kirven, Merylan Ransom, and Cathy Ann Stewart , Sisters, Ever Jean Doines, and Henrietta Johnson, 19 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews,relatives and friends.
