Shirley Arnett, 82, of Oneida, Kentucky, passed away on 19 October 2020 in Jacksonville, Florida. She was born on January 2, 1938, to parents Mae Hurd and Arnold Hurd. She was proceeded in death by her husband Clayton Arnett. Shirley is survived by her 2 children, John Arnett and Pam Glonek, 3 grandsons Charles Arnett, Shaun Arnett, and Jacob Allen, and 3 great grandchildren, Piper Allen, Calvin Allen, and Magnolia Rose Allen. Shirley traveled the world with her husband during his time in the military. She moved often, living in Pennsylvania, Texas, Georgia, and Kentucky and overseas in Germany and Jordan. After retiring, Shirley and Clayton spent their time traveling within the United States spending many summers in Wyoming and wintering in Florida. She was an active member of the Oneida community and will be missed by many. Due to the pandemic and concerns for the health and wellbeing of family and friends, a funeral service will not be held. Donations in her name can be made to Oneida Baptist Institute. Britton Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
