Memorial service for Mr. James Martin Hanes will be held at a later date. James Martin Hanes was born March 8, 1931 and passed from this life on October 21, 2020 at the age of 89. James, enjoyed hunting, fishing carpentry work and spending time with his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Myrtie Hanes; wife of 65 years, Sylvia Hanes; son, James Martin Hanes Jr.; son in law, Billie Chisholm Sr. and sister, Glenoria Thompson. Those left to cherish his memories include his two daughters, Sylvia Chisholm and Alice Jones; five grandchildren, Sylvia Ziegler and husband Joseph, James Harrell and wife Tiffany, Mary Cappo and husband Carson, Rebecca Sisson and husband Todd and Brandy Overton; thirteen great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Jimmy Dale Thompson.
