He was born on January 29, 1929 to Knute Nelson and Gunhild Sanderson in Invermay, SK.</p> <p>Hilding married Ida Whyman in March of 1956 in Invermay, SK. He was a farmer, cook, carpenter building grain elevators, worked in auto body repair in Invermay, and worked in bush logging in his early years. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, trapping, golfing, visiting friends and neighbors and playing guitar and violin with his brother Melvin playing country music.</p> <p>Hilding is survived by his children Miles (Evelyn) of Grenfell, SK, Nels (Anne) of Preeceville, SK, Sheldon (Theresa)&nbsp; of Preeceville, SK, Dervin (Shirley) of Preeceville, SK, Kevin (Juanita) of Dutchess, AB, Janice (Laryl) of Edmonton, AB, Luella (Troy) of Saskatoon, SK, 18 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents Knute and Gunhild, brothers Melvin and Knut, sister Hazel and granddaughter Chesney.</p>

Hilding Andrew Nelson of Saskatoon, SK, passed away on October 18, 2020 in Saskatoon, SK at the age of 91. He was born on January 29, 1929 to Knute Nelson and Gunhild Sanderson in Invermay, SK.

Hilding married Ida Whyman in March of 1956 in Invermay, SK.
