Victoria Mae Drinkard, age 81, of Metamora, formerly of Rochester, Michigan and Summerfield, Florida, died Tuesday October 20, 2020. She was born May 30, 1939 in Alpena, to Harry and Violet Chrzan. Victoria graduated from Lincoln High School in Center Line, Michigan and married Jerry Drinkard in Mt. Clemens (December 1955). The Drinkard’s lived in Rochester and raised their children there for almost 30 years. Victoria loved Rochester, she spent many years volunteering at the North Hill Elementary School Library in Rochester and also worked at the Taco Tool Factory there. In 1992, the Drinkard’s moved to Metamora and they also bought a place in Summerfield, Florida, which they enjoyed for many many years. When she was younger, Victoria played tennis and even the violin… she always encouraged her children to take music lessons. Mrs. Drinkard enjoyed swimming, crafting, traveling and socializing with friends. Above all, Victoria was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Victoria is survived by her husband of 64 years: Jerry Drinkard of Metamora; children: Dennis Drinkard of Romeo, Keith (Judy) Drinkard of Millington, Brian (Deanna) Drinkard of Lehi, Utah and Todd (Denise Smith) Drinkard of Lapeer; grandchildren: Keith, Jimmy, Jerry, Tabitha, Jake, Nick and Hunter; great-grandchildren: Ava Bella, Sage and Zachary; and sister: Betty Wilson of Warren. She was preceded in death by her sons: Randy Drinkard and Craig Drinkard; sister; Delores Pratt; and her parents. Visitation will be 4-8PM Thursday, October 22, 2020, at Muir Brothers Funeral Home in Lapeer. Victoria’s funeral service will be private, for immediate family only.
