Funeral service celebrating the life of Russell Gayle Pippins, Sr. of Eros, LA will be held at 2:00pm, Friday, October 23, 2020 in the chapel of Griffin Funeral Home, 911 Warren Drive, West Monroe, LA. Interment will follow at Cartwright Cemetery in Choudrant, LA under the direction of Griffin Funeral Home. Family will receive friends for visitation, Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 5pm till 8pm at the funeral home. Russell was born January 23, 1953 and passed from this life October 19, 2020 at the age of 67. He is preceded in death by his father, Bob Pippins; mother, Liz Foy; daughter, Dana Marie; sisters, Debbie Lynn Pippins and Julie Rice; brother, Ronnie Glynn Pippins; grandson, Isaac Pippins. Those left to cherish his memories include his two sons, Russell Pippins, Jr. and wife, Cynthia, Harvey Ray Pippins, and wife Rebecca Rice; sister, Theresa Pippins; brother, Bo Pippins; six grandchildren, Brent Pippins and wife Paige, Brandi Pippins, Joseph Pippins, Dylan Pippins, Noah Pippins, and Paige Pippins; also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of sisters and brothers in Christ.
