Larry Steve Cantrell Obituary

Larry Steve Cantrell, age 72, of Middlesboro, KY, passed away on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at his home.  He was born July 30, 1948 in Middlesboro, KY, the son of the late Jack and Irene Bussell Cantrell. 

Larry was a loving husband and father who valued spending time with his family. He always enjoyed taking small trips and vacations with them.  He played basketball in high school and his love for the sport continued as he grew older.  He was an avid fan of the Kentucky Wildcats and cherished the time he spent with his sons watching them play.   

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother-in-law, Doyle Southern.

He is survived by the following members of his family:

Sons, Nick Cantrell, Larry Wayne Cantrell and Steven Cantrell

Grandchildren, Victoria (Blake) Barnes, Victor Ray Prater, Samantha Cantrell, Ashley Cantrell, Krissie Justice and Jordan Power Cantrell

Great-granchildren, Braylon Barnes, Addilynn Barnes, Presley Barnes, Braden Cantrell, Grace-Lynn Cantrell, Caelyn Cantrell, Jesse Cornish, Amiyah Partin, Colton Prater, Blaiton Prater, Jameson Prater and Dillan Prater

The family of Larry Steve Cantrell will receive friends from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 24, 2020 at the Cawood Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Service will follow at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Herman Denny presiding.  Music will be provided by Wilma Denny and Curtis Knuckles.  Pallbearers will be Curtis Knuckles, Stephan Cantrell, Tim Keyes, Owen Beck, Freddie Miracle and Larry Kyle.

Interment will immediately follow the funeral service at Mountain View Cemetery in Harrogate, TN with full military honors.
