Stewart, Sylvia Helen – Age 76, Valley, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2020 in Colchester East Hants Health Centre, Truro surrounded by love of family, as were her wishes. Sylvia was born in Truro, the fifth child of seven born to the late Mary (MacDonald) (Best, Fielding) and the late Ralph Best. Sylvia is survived by her loving husband of 58 years and best friend, Alex Stewart; children, Sandra (Ross Atkinson), Truro, Jacqueline (Eric Cock), Red Deer, AB, Angela (Vincent Pye), Pugwash and Robert, Truro; six grandchildren – her pride and joy- Alisha, Alan, Lacey, Troy, Brooke and Tyler; four great grandchildren, Derik, Liam, Cassidy and Caleb as well as siblings, Vena, Gordon, Anne, Marie, Gary and Gail. She was predeceased by her stepfather, John Fielding. Mom loved her flower gardens and always enjoyed working on new crafts and of course, bass fishing. A special thank you to Dr. Stephen Ellis and Holly, who took exceptional care of Mom right until the end. A private family Graveside Service will be held in Watson Cemetery at a later date.
