Anthony A. Insana passed away on October 17, 2020 at the age of 84. He was born in Washington, Pennsylvania to Giuseppe Insana and Maria Nastasi on May 7th, 1936. He was the 2nd youngest of 9 children. He attended DePaul School for the Hearing Impaired and South High in Pittsburgh, PA. One year after the passing of his father in 1953, Tony moved to Wickliffe, Ohio, where he got his first and only job at the Bailey Meter Company on August 20, 1954 at the age of 18. He worked as a Manufacturing Assembler for 45 years, retiring on August 20, 1999. Upon retirement, Tony moved to Peoria, Arizona to live with his sister Frances (Sowards) Insana and to be near his younger brother Frank Insana and his family. Tony was a very passionate and successful Bowler, frequently carrying an average of 195 and above. Among his great many trophies and accolades, his greatest achievement in Bowling occurred on January 26, 1981, as Tony bowled a High Series of 833. Sports were the main focus of his life, as he enjoyed watching Baseball, Football, Basketball, Horse Racing and later Professional Wrestling. A life-long fan of Cleveland Sports, he was very excited to watch the Cleveland Indians participate in the 1954, 1995, 1997 and 2016 World Series, the Cleveland Browns win NFL Championships in 1954, 1955 and 1964 and the Cleveland Cavaliers going to 5 NBA Championships and winning it all in 2016. Tony was preceded in death by his parents, Giuseppe and Maria Insana, his brothers Pete Insana, Peter Insana, Nicholas Insana, Salvatore Insana, Frank Insana and sisters Catherine Insana and Frances (Sowards) Insana. Tony is survived by his brother and Best Friend Joseph Insana. They worked and frequently bowled together for over 40 years. Tony is also survived by 13 nieces and nephews. He will be forever loved and missed by his family.
