Betty J. Roberts, 83, of Stevensville, passed away at her home surrounded by her daughter and caregiver, Ann, on Sunday, October 18, 2020. A Celebration of Life Service will be at 1:00 PM Friday, October 23, 2020 at Starks & Menchinger Chapel, 2650 Niles Road, St. Joseph, Michigan with Pastor Marc Danapilis officiating. Burial will follow at North Shore Memory Gardens in Coloma. Friends may visit from 12:00 to 1:00 PM Friday. Those wishing to sign Betty’s Guest Book online may do so at www.starks-menchinger.com. Memorials may be made to Humane Society of Southwestern Michigan or Anchor Church of God. Betty was born in Chicago, IL on February 15, 1937 to Frank & Isabella (Davis) Catania. On October 20, 1956 she married the love of her life, Clois Roberts, in Benton Harbor. During her life, she worked at Heathkit / Zenith in St. Joseph. Betty enjoyed sports, camping, riding her motorcycle, hunting, cooking, watching birds and taking care of her dogs. No one would interrupt her time watching ‘Days of Our Lives’, ‘Golden Girls’ or Western Shows. She was a volunteer for Special Olympics and for handicapped children. She is survived by her daughter, Pamela (Mike) Zandarski of Baroda; son, Clois Roberts, Jr. of Stevensville; a grandson, Terrell Morrison; one great-grandson; and two sisters, Carmen (Robert) Bryant of Stevensville and Barbara (Dennis) Mabry of Benton Harbor. She was preceded in death by her husband Clois in 1997; a son Ronald in 2020, and a sister Mary Lou Ross. Special thanks to Hospice at Home and Caring Circle and her caregivers, Shirley, Anita, Jennifer and Ann.
