Gerald E. Nichols

Gerald E. Nichols ,82, of Roselle, entered into eternal rest on Monday, October 19, 2020 in Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital at Rahway. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral from the Werson Funeral Home, 635 North Wood Avenue, Linden, on Monday, October 26, 2020 begininng at 11 am. A Prayer Service will begin at 11:45 am. Interment will follow in Rahway Cemetery, Rahway. Mr. Nichols was born in Lackawanna County in PA and lived in Roselle with his beloved wife Emily for over 22 years. Mr. .Nichols worked as a Quality Inspector for Aloyco/Walworth Co., of Linden for 35 years, retiring in 1993. Gerald loved golfing, bowling, and Ancestry.com. He was an avid fan of the NY Mets and NY Rangers. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and friend to all who knew him. Mr. Nichols was predeceased by his beloved wife Emily M. Nichols (Went) in 2012, his father, John R. Nichols and his mother, Helen M.(Bilinski) Nichols. He is survived by his devoted children Maryann Kahse, Gerald J. Nichols and his wife Elizabeth, his loving grandchildren, Sean, Andrew, Rebecca, Nicholas, Phillip and Nathaniel, his dear brothers, J. Gary Nichols, Thomas Nichols, John (Jack) Nichols and many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105, in his memory would be appreciated.
