At the age of 64, Julie lost her battle with cancer on October 11, 2020, at her home in West Palm Beach, FL. She was born in New Orleans, LA to Jean and Ernie Belmont and lived in West Palm moving from New Orleans in 2018. Julie was known as kind, cheerful, happy, and a beautiful ray of light to all she met. Her survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Edward F. Downing, III, of West Palm, brother Ernest Chris Belmont, III and his wife Kay, sister Jeannette Belmont (deceased), brother-in-law Dennis R. Downing and wife Charlotte, sisters-in-law Donna and Deborah Downing, nieces Lindsay B. Favre (Chase), Kimberly B. Sterling (Michael), Jennifer D. Landeta (Cory) and Anna Downing and grand-nieces and nephews Tucker, Camille, Colette, Cooper and Lena. Julie began her career as an executive assistant with East Jefferson Hospital and retired after over 20 years of service. A funeral mass will be held on October 26, 2020, at 10 am at St Ann Catholic Church at 310 N Olive Ave, WPB, FL 33401. A celebration of life is planned for New Orleans, LA at a date to be determined.
