<p>Richinda Lois Rock was born December 16, 1951 in White Earth, Minnesota the daughter of Albert and Anna (Rice) Basswood. She passed away October 18, 2020 at Sanford Hospital in Fargo, North Dakota.</p> <p>Chinda grew up in the Pine Point area and graduated in the Honor Society from Park Rapids High School. She was very active in her community and very successful in creating the first Pine Point drum group with the assistance of her father Albert Sr. She aimed to make sure kids in the community learned to sing. &nbsp;Chinda continued her education, graduating with a B.S. in elementary education from Moorhead State University. She taught adult basic education in White Earth and was an elementary teacher in Pine Point.</p> <p>Chinda enjoyed bingo, puzzle books, playing softball, shooting pool and playing cards. She especially loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren.</p> <p>She is survived by her daughters: Dawn Ann Basswood, Sunshine Lynn (John) Rock, Jane Elizabeth Kettle; grandchildren: Desiree, Jordan, Adrianna, Natalie, James Lee, Madison, Emma, Aleigha, Dominic; great grandson: Daycion Weaver; siblings: Delmar Basswood, Margaret Basswood, Patricia Miller, and Sandy Smith and numerous nieces and nephews.</p> <p>Chinda was preceded in death by her parents Albert and Anna Basswood; sisters: Rosetta, Jeanie Mae, Doris, Mary Lou, Debra; brothers: Richard Sr., Maynard, Rolland, and Albert Jr.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p>&nbsp;</p>

Obituary
