In Lone Star, TX, on June 19, 1953, Hannah “Amanda” Garrett was born to Zella Mae Harris and Damon Taylor. Hannah, mostly known to all, Amanda, grew up in the Blue Front neighborhood of Dangerfield, Texas. She attended J.J. Rhoads High School before integrating to Daingerfield High School and graduating with the class of 1971. She had a great love for singing gospel songs and hearing the word of God.<br>She was preceded in death by her parents Zella Harris and Damon Taylor; brothers Ernest Ray Jones and Louis Donald Harris, Jr. (Jr. Boy); sisters Anna Johnson and Annette Taylor (Nette); granddaughter Tashiana Taylor, and great grandson Khorian Taylor.<br>She leaves to cherish her unfailing love and precious memories to her sons Daniel Taylor, Charles Taylor, Stevie Taylor, Chris Taylor (Kenley Precise), and daughter Tequila “Nikki” Taylor (Billy Hill); sisters Sally Everett, Marie Crowder, Katherine Taylor, and Elizabeth “Liz” Taylor; Brothers Thomas Evans and Travis Taylor. 15 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, church family, and friends that cared for her in some capacity to the end of her life.
