William J. Taplin Obituary

From Holyrood, NL
It is with great sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our brother, William John (Bill) Taplin of Holyrood, at St. Clare's Mercy Hospital on Sunday, May 3rd, 2020 at 60 years of age. He was predeceased by his parents; Jack and Connie Taplin. Bill is survived by his sisters: Ann Marie, Betty Lu (Ron), Rosemary (John), and Jeanette (Mike), his brother Walter (Heidi), many nephews and nieces, extended family and friends as well as his favourite feline Bella. Despite his struggles, we remember Bill's fondness of music, animals, his quick wit and sense of humour. At this time, we would like to thank the 5 East staff at St Clare's for the comfort and care shown him during his brief illness. We also want to extend, a very special thank you to the amazing staff at Canning's Personal Care Home in Long Pond for the exceptional loving care and support shown Bill during his short stay there. For this we will be eternally grateful. Due to the current Covid-19 Restrictions, cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation. Bill will be laid to rest with his parents. There will a small private Graveside Service at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Side, Holyrood. In Bill's memory we ask that you be kind to each other and offer a good deed today and everyday. If you wish, you can make a donation in Bill's name to the Gathering Place. "Earth has no sorrow that heaven cannot heal"
First Visitation: None at this time.
Service Location: Due to Covid-19 Restrictions, A Private Graveside Service Will Be Held
Cemetery: North Side Cemetery, Holyrood at a later date
