<p>Thomas &ldquo;Tom&rdquo; Haynes, 59, of Fruitland, passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at the University of Nebraska Medical Center.&nbsp; Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2020 at 10:30 A.M. at the Snyder &amp; Hollenbaugh Funeral &amp; Cremation Services, 2907 Mulberry Avenue, Muscatine. &nbsp;Interment will be in Island Cemetery. &nbsp;Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2020 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. &nbsp;Due to Covid-19 concerns,&nbsp;the family request those attending visitation and funeral service to please wear a mask.&nbsp;A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Tom&rsquo;s name. Sympathy notes may be left for the family at www.sandhfuneralservice.com.</p> <p>Thomas Haynes was born on October 10, 1961 in Geneseo, Illinois, the son of John (Jack) and Helen (Stokes) Haynes.&nbsp; Tom graduated from Rock Island High School and received his business degree from Eastern Iowa Community College.&nbsp; He was employed by HNI for 31 years and has most recently spent the last six years employed by Kone.&nbsp; Tom married the love of his life, Rachelle O&rsquo;Brien on January 14, 2005. Tom had been actively involved with Youth Sports Foundation since its inception.&nbsp; He first coached football and later was appointed the position of YSF Football Coordinator. &nbsp;He made a lasting impact on all those that he had coached. &nbsp;He loved going on motorcycle rides, fishing, camping, hosting Sunday Funday with his family and friends and always enjoyed a good old-fashioned road trip.&nbsp; Tom&rsquo;s greatest joy in his life were his grandchildren.</p> <p>Tom will be deeply missed by his wife, Rachelle of Fruitland; children, Matt (Trisha) Thompson, Brian Haynes, Kory (Kirsten) Hogan, Brandon Haynes, Melanie (Alex) Strong and bonus daughter, Shuree Beauchamp; grandchildren, Dominic Haynes, Raelynn Deleon, Asher Strong, Quinton Haynes and Mackenzie, Graeme and Ryne Thompson; siblings, Mel Jr (Linda) Owens, Alice (Jeff) Rice, Shelia (Jim) McNally, Howard (Sue) Haynes, Ward (Jeannie) Haynes, Deborah (Tim) Johnson, Melody (Dan) Hall and Roger (Mary) Haynes and mother-in-law, Twyla O&rsquo;Brien&nbsp;</p> <p>Tom was preceded in death by his parents; infant son, Casey Haynes; brother, John Haynes; maternal and paternal grandparents; father-in-law, Eugene O&rsquo;Brien and brother-in-law, Daryl O&rsquo;Brien.</p>

Thomas Haynes was born on October 10, 1961 in Geneseo, Illinois, the son of John (Jack) and Helen (Stokes) Haynes.  Tom graduated from Rock Island High School and received his business degree from Eastern Iowa Community College.  He was employed by HNI for 31 years and has most recently spent the last six years employed by Kone.  Tom married the love of his life, Rachelle O’Brien on January 14, 2005.
